Due to the geometry of the main roof, this was a unique challenge. The roof was angled on multiple planes, with a movement joint located directly where the temporary roof was to be erected.
Considerations had to be made regarding the flexibility of the temporary roof, due to the location of the required fixings. Under no circumstances could the temporary roof act as a rigid structure, as this would be detrimental to the main roof. There were four different tie configurations on this scaffold alone, purely to accommodate the required movement.
